Walks undertaken in 2024

17th January 2024: The first walk of the Group for this year was to Backmuir Woods near Liff and this was followed by lunch at the Pinecone Cafe behind Templeton Woods.

31st January 2024: On a rather blustery day members ventured along the coastal path from Broughty Ferry to Monifieth finishing up having lunch in Bowman's Cafe in the main street.

13th March 2024: After a wet start the members had a rumble around Balrymonth Hill & Lumbo Den, just outside St. Andrews. Followed by some posh dining at Clayton Park Restaurant. 

27th March 2024: The forecast wasn't great so we decided to just meet at the Larick for bacon rolls, coffee and a quick quiz.

10th April 2024: We started our walk at the Larick before it was open so headed along past the Harbour and boatyard as far as the 2 Lighthouses and then up through the Scotscraig Estate before heading back to the Larick for a curry flavoured vegetable soup and chunky bread to complete our trip.

23rd April 2024: Today's outing was another journey close to home for some of us starting at Waterston Crook heading along the nature trail to Wormit and up over St. Forthill through the Secret Garden. This time we decided to try a new cafe in Tayport "One, Two, Three Cup of Tea but decided we prefer the Larick if we are in the area.

8th May 2024: The New Adventurers decided to start in Ceres and head along a path to Craigrothie crossing an old stone bridge and heading back via Hill of Tarvit to the Ceres Museum Cafe for soup and toasties amongst other choices. 

22nd May 2024: Tentsmuir beach and forest walk followed by lunch at the Larick Cafe

19th Jun 2024: A four mile walk around through Balmullo and around Lucklaw Hill followed by lunch at St.Michaels Inn

17th Jul 2024: The Fife coastal path from Anstruther to Pittenweem followed by a visit to the Clock Tower Cafe in Pittenweem.

11th Sep 2024: Another coastal walk was tackled but a bit closer to home venturing from the Taybridge carpark along the old railway path passing the 2 lighthouses at Tayport before arriving at the Larick Cafe for lunch. Some walkers ventured back by a slightly different route. 

25th Sep 2024: Dundee West End walk through Victoria Park, Balgay Cemetary and Ninewells Hospital grounds and arboretum followed by lunch at Verdant Works cafe. 

9th October 2024: A forest walk through Crombie Country park followed by lunch at Milton Haugh Farm Shop

23rd October 2024: Down to the south coast of Fife for a walk through Leven Park and beach ending up at Blacketyside Farm Cafe for lunch
