The following meeting on the 20th May will be a return visit from Peter Forster of Peacehill Farm, just outside Wormit. This is a family farming company that has existed since 1926 on the fertile banks of the Tay that not only grow crops such as potatoes, vegetables, have chickens and pigs but have diversified to include other business interests such as a biogas plant. So this should be an interesting talk.
Our following meeting will be on the 3rd June when Iain Murray will give us an account of Barnes Wallis an English engineer and inventor! He is best known for inventing the bouncing bomb used by the Royal Air Force in Operation Chastise to attack the dams of the Ruhr Valley during World War 11.
The 17th June talk is about the Scottish War Memorial at Edinburgh Castle
