Next few events:

The final meeting before the summer break on the 29th when we will be have a talk by Nicola Lucking, one of the team of 4 ladies who in 2025 challenged themselves to row the Atlantic in aid of various charities. This event involved teams of 30+ racing the 3000 miles without any thing to aid their journey other than their own skills, which involved rowing for 2 hours and a break for 2 hours before taking over again. It was necessary to survive on rehydrated foods and contend with suffering from salt sores, lack of sleep, sea sickness caused by 40ft waves, storms etc. On a plus side they did experience seeing whales, sharks and blue marlin to mention but a few of their enjoyable aspects.

A new facility has opened at Wormit Boating Club, sponsored by North Fife Rotary. It's a Community Fridge it is open on a Friday afternoon from 1:00 pm it reduces local food waste by distributing surplus, high quality food from supermarkets. This facility is available to everyone without needing referrals to help with food costs or waste reduction,
